Welcome to The Women's Center

Serving Southern Illinois for over 35 years, we have helped survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Southern Illinois by providing:

  • 24-hour crisis hotline intervention (618-529-2324), emergency shelter, food, supplies and transportation
  • individual and group support, counseling
  • information, referrals, education
  • case management, legal, medical, and personal advocacy

Our services are confidential, free of charge, and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to women, men, adolescents, and children.

Do you think you may be in abusive relationship? We can help you take steps to identify and deal with physical, mental, and emotional abuse. Click here for more information on violent/abusive relationships.

Are you unsafe in your own home? Do you need a safe place for you and your children? We can provide safe, secure shelter for women and children, as well as provide referrals for safe shelter at other facilities for male survivors. Our shelter is staffed and open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Click here for more information about our shelter.

Are you interested in becoming a volunteer? The Women's Center could not function without the help of our many volunteers. Click here for more information on volunteering in our education, service, and translation programs.

Can you help the Women's Center with a gift of cash, property, or stock? flow-through funds, a significant portion of our over $1 million annual budget must be raised locally. We are grateful to all of our ongoing donors for their continued support of our programs. While some of our funding comes from local, state, and federal agencies, a significant portion of our annual budget must come from private sources.
