The Women's Center

Training

The Women's Center generally offers Volunteer training three times a year, January, June, and September. The training is free of charge to volunteers, and is a recognized professional training by the Illinois Coalition against Sexual Assault and the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence. All Direct service volunteers must be eighteen years of age or older and pass a DCFS background check and a criminal background check.

Persons interested in Volunteer training should schedule an interview with the Volunteer Recruiter before the start of volunteer training. Interviews are completed year round and a volunteer application can be downloaded.
